  • How to add custom text to empty reports

The system default is to produce an empty report if the input data set has no observations or the input data set does not exist. If you use the option EmptyOff, the empty report will not be produced. The parameter Emptytxt allows you to create your own text for these empty reports. The parameter Emptytxt will replace the default text for both situations; empty data set and non-existent data set.
    This feature works conditionally.

Default text for an empty data set is:
There are no observations in the input data set.
Default text for a non-existent data set is:
Input data set does not exist.

Open the attached program EmptyTab.sas. When you run with program with a data set with observations it creates report “EmptyTabA”. (see attached file)
When the data set has no observations the result is “EmptyTabB”. (see attached file)
