  • Warning While Producing a Listing

    hi
I was trying to generate a listing and whenever i click on any dataset and click on produce listing, i come up with an error message, i could ignore that and it still gives me the output, but i was not sure if i am using the right method or am i doing something wrong!

The warning that i was getting was
WARNING: This CREATE TABLE statement recursively references the target table. A consequence of this is a possible data integrity problem.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bhagya,

This is a warning issued by SAS in version 9 and above. This will happen when the same table name is re-used within a Proc SQL step. We do re-use table names in several areas of the system to conserve work space.

This message had been added to our exclusion list and depending on the version you are using, you may still get prompted. If you are on the latest release and still are getting prompted on this, please let us know.

    Regards,
