You can change the way the date displays on list pages by setting the CTMS configuration variable, which is under the Culture configuration group for the Date Display Format variable. Click Override to change the default, yyyy MMM dd, to your preferred format such as, ddMMMyyyy. The date will appear like this:

To change the date format on modules, the system uses the language setting on your browser. With Internet Explorer, you would click Tools, Internet Options, on the General tab, click the Languages button, then click the Add button and select English (United Kingdom)(en-GB). Click the move up button to make it the first language. See image below. Click OK.
With Google Chrome, it is under Settings, Advanced Settings, Language and input settings.
